ASSOCIATE BRAND MANAGER

Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried opportunity as an Associate Brand Manager.

The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for in-depth business analysis, and assisting in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans to develop sales, build brand equity, and increase awareness for Zippo Outdoor and Case Knives.  Reporting to the Sr. Brand Manager of Zippo Outdoor & Case, this position works with Zippo and Case sales, marketing, and innovation staffs, agencies and customers, to address business challenges through above and below the line strategic marketing initiatives.

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist Senior Brand Manager in execution of marketing plans.
  • Analysis of product category sales, financials, and marketing expenditures.
  • Collaborate with global subsidiaries to address needs and market feedback.
  • Prepare marketing reports and tracks product performance.
  • Execute new product launches, marketing strategies, and present research findings.
  • Assist in developing promotional programs to grow sales and build brand equity.
  • Participate in supporting management in efforts to develop, manage, and measure global, consumer-facing communications initiatives that meet established objectives.
  • Assist in developing and prioritizing global marketing agency action plans and overseeing the successful implementation of their activities.
  • Assist in developing corporate partnerships and sponsorships as well as with the execution of consumer promotions plans.
  • Provide analysis in support of strategy development.
  • Understand consumer and shopper insights and make conclusions/recommendations to support business initiatives and priorities.
  • Some travel, including international, is required (less than 25%).

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing/business or related (or equivalent); MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience (1-2 with MBA)

      CREDIT ANALYST

      Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried opportunity as a Credit Analyst.

      The Credit Analyst will be responsible for managing and maintaining credit policies and procedures in order to enable the Finance Division to operate in a manner to increase sales, stimulate cash flow, and safeguard company accounts receivables.

      PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

      • Interacting with other internal functions such as sales, traffic, accounting, etc.
      • Efficiently managing day-to-day tasks and multiple priorities
      • Monitoring changes in customer and AR portfolio risk
      • Reviewing the entire AR portfolio and new accounts in a timely manner
      • Keep credit requests current and accurate to meet customer needs
      • Heavy telephone and written communications with customers
      • Assign credit limits according to guidelines and make recommendations to credit manager for those over guidelines
      • Gather and analyze credit and financials on new and existing customers
      • Identify and closely monitor high risk customers
      • Timely processing of credit applications
      • Maintain relationship with sales (internal and external) to resolve disputes
      • Assist in performing root cause analysis on repetitive disputes/deductions
      • Assist in research deductions and payment shortages
      • Assist in reviewing customer’s vendor compliance guidelines
      • Work hours must be flexible to adjust to busy seasons and backing up other staff

          The Process Development Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving processes and products, through investigation and change application.

          PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

          • Developing and managing small to medium size projects from concept to completion and maintaining control of project expenditures to avoid cost and schedule overruns at the direction of the department supervisor, as well as preparing budgets and timelines and assembling meetings on assigned projects.
          • Making recommendations on capital budget projects and research projects.
          • Researching new processes, operations, and manufacturing equipment at the direction of the department supervisor.
          • Developing, testing, and implementing new equipment and processes as deemed appropriate.
          • Formulating corrective action reports based on testing and research, recommending design and / or process changes and implementing design or process changes as approved.
          • Developing reports using necessary computer software to create spreadsheets, chart tables, and graphs.
          • Maintaining contact and working relations with outside suppliers on projects as assigned.
          • Assisting with training and instructing Associate Engineers and Technicians as directed by the Department Supervisor.
          • Performing other related duties as assigned.

          THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

          • Bachelor’s Degree in applied technical area or equivalent business related experience
          • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
          • Knowledge of AX Operating system (a plus)

              ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

              Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried opportunity as a Electrical Engineer.

              The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving processes and products, as well as designing, developing, and maintaining electrical and control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on cost, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.

              PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

              • Inspecting completed installations and observing operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
              • Maintaining contact and working relations with outside suppliers on projects as assigned.
              • Assisting with training and instructing Associate Engineers and Technicians as directed by the Department Supervisor.

                                  This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing business processes and transactions to assure all financial matters: statements, reports, and transactions are properly stated and submitted in a timely manner to business management.

                                  DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES CAN INCLUDE:

                                  • Corporate Consolidations – load and tie-out monthly subsidiary consolidation models including intercompany eliminations and multiple currency translations.
                                  • Financial reporting – monthly financial statement creation, independently create consolidated and individual subsidiary financial statements and supporting reports. Share in monthly financial statement review and analysis. Directly responsible for Mfg/SG&A analysis and reporting. Assist with subsidiary financial narratives. Maintain assigned general ledger account reconciliations.
                                  • Assist with external Audit coordination – maintain cash receipt/disbursement and inventory. Assist with coordinating and maintaining audit schedules.
                                  • Activity Based Cost/Management – member of ABC/M team, focusing on SG&A Costs. Responsible for maintaining associated ABC models and ensuring timely completion of related ABC/M profitability reports and analysis.
                                  • Assist in performing daily banking activities.
                                  • Capital Asset expenditure ROI analysis, tracking and calculation of depreciation/amortization.
