GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time hourly opportunity as a Graphic Designer.

The Channel Manager is responsible for creatively solving complex graphic design problems to create materials that promote the Zippo Brand and its subsidiaries in the global marketplace.

*This position resides within Creative Services, not the Design Center that produces artwork for product decoration.

Primary Duties:

  • Creating design solutions for various forms of creative collateral including catalogs, ads, packaging, retail POS and event signage, web/digital art, and more.

  • Work with internal departments to create a variety of artwork that graphically fulfills company needs by applying visual identity guidelines, typography, composition, and layout elements to multiple collateral types.
  • Advanced photo editing/manipulation.
  • Reviewing and editing proofs/analyzing own finished artwork for accuracy.
  • Assuring deadlines are met.
  • Perform additional duties or special assignments as directed.

The Successful Candidate Should Have:

  • Associate degree in Graphic Design AND 4 or more years of professional experience OR a similar combination of education and experience.

  • Skillful use of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Dimension preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

CHANNEL MANAGER

Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried opportunity as a Channel Manager.

The Channel Manager is responsible for growing sales, profit, and brand awareness by developing effective communications and program building, deployment, and ROI in the C-stores. He or she will specialize in assisting Field Sales to optimize marketing efforts at a trade level, including message development, marketing materials, and building brand awareness, and will ensure proper positioning and programming for our range of products while generating customer and consumer demand of the Company’s product lines. The Channel Manager is an agent of change, a strategist, with a natural cross-functional leadership ability without direct reports.

Primary Duties:

  • Ensure productive, professional relationships with Field Sales and cross function internal teams (Finance, Procurement, Legal, Licensing, Marketing and other cross functional teams).
  • Effectively manage Zippo/Ronson product lines within the Tobacco/Cigar/Cannabis, Convenience and Hardware Channels.
  • Deploy best in class trade support programming, Co-Op and Trade funds management and ROI metrics.
  • Fully part of the Sales Team, face to face key customers to build custom programs.
  • Coordinate the involvement of Field Sales and Marketing personnel, including support, service, and resources to meet defined objectives and expectations.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure effective new product launches are communicated to the field and implemented for the customer.
  • Manage product discontinuation process throughout the customer base.
  • Measure promotional activities and events for ROI and create new programs to increase impact.
  • Proactively lead a trade marketing planning process which aids in developing performance objectives and financial targets.
  • Manage potential conflict by fostering excellent communication internally and externally.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary Company personnel. This may include use of technology.

  • Coordinate Customer Social Media efforts with internal cross functional teams.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing business processes and transactions to assure all financial matters: statements, reports, and transactions are properly stated and submitted in a timely manner to business management.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Financial reporting – monthly financial statement creation, independently create consolidated and individual subsidiary financial statements and supporting reports. Share in monthly financial statement review and analysis. Directly responsible for Mfg/SG&A analysis and reporting. Assist with subsidiary financial narratives. Maintain assigned general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist with external Audit coordination – inventory and cost information. Assist with coordinating and maintaining audit schedules.
  • Activity Based Cost/Management – member of ABC/M team, focusing on SG&A Costs. Responsible for maintaining associated ABC models and ensuring timely completion of related ABC/M profitability reports and analysis.
  • Capital Asset expenditure ROI analysis, tracking and calculation of depreciation/amortization.
  • Gainshare monthly and weekly calculations.
  • Perform any other duties, related in nature, which may be assigned.
