SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full time salaried opportunity as a Social Media Manager-responsible for overseeing the promotion of the Zippo brand via building its reputation through authenticity and transparency, and creating global social connections.  The Social Media Manager is responsible for managing the day to day interactions on various platforms, and will ensure global, social marketing activities are aligned with corporate goals and identity.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Defines, proposes and leads strategies for primary social media channels including, usage guidelines, message mix, scheduling/volume, and the role of each channel in overall marketing strategies.
  • Responsible for overseeing content creation or curation including photography, video, editing, copy writing, and other forms of current and emerging multimedia technology.
  • Leads integration of social channels with Zippo websites and other Zippo marketing channels. 
  • Collaborates with Sales, Marketing , Licensing, Legal, and Consumer Relations stakeholders on strategy development and program implementation, ensuring alignment with and support of overall Marketing efforts. 
  • Works with internal and outside counsel to ensure all social efforts both domestic and global are aligned with corporate policies as well as international and local laws.
  • Oversees strategy for social properties to drive increased fan engagement: proposes themes and promotions, develops and sources content, coordinates scheduling across groups.
  • Manages development, maintenance and promotion of social property features and functionality; supervises vendors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Monitors ongoing evolution of all social media sites and proposes strategies and features as appropriate.
  • Oversees brand presence development, communication/posting strategies and day-to-day maintenance of Zippo activity on secondary social channels including but not limited to Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Instagram, Google +, Weibo, and Pinterest.
  • Monitors Zippo-related posts and commentary across all key social channels (Facebook, Twitter, and major blogs) on a daily/weekly basis; produces and distributes meaningful, actionable analysis on key conversation topics, volume and sentiment for management review.
  • Conducts ad hoc analysis of social channels in response to perceived product problems and safety concerns, crisis situations, intellectual property issues, and other trends impacting brand image and consumer opinions. Provides insight and recommendations on overall communications strategies to management.
  • Reviews, analyzes and provides actionable reporting on key engagement and fan base metrics for all existing social media channels.
  • Develops materials and training of international distributors and subsidiaries on engagement, promotion, and conversation strategy.
  • Manages all aspects of advertising for domestic, global, and geo-targeted campaigns.
  • Ensures all content released upholds the spirit and guidelines developed for social media conduct.
  • Monitors best practices for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyzes, reviews, and reports on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Evaluates publishing tools, emerging technology, and trends relevant to social media.
  • Monitors cultural, local and world events to ensure planned content is appropriate.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Web and Social Media, Communications, Marketing, or Business Management

                Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full time salaried opportunity as an Associate Brand Manager-responsible for in-depth business analysis relating to market place and target consumer groups, and assisting in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans to develop sales, build brand equity, and increase awareness of Zippo’s growing product line world-wide.  This position works with Zippo sales, marketing, and innovation staff, agencies and customers, to address business challenges through above and below the line strategic marketing initiatives.

                PRIMARY DUTIES:

                • Works in coordination with the Senior Brand Manager to manage assigned category of business.

                Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for an hourly full-time opportunity as a Graphic Designer, responsible for using the computer and/or hand drawn elements to creatively solve complex graphic design problems to be placed onto Zippo products or create materials to promote the Zippo Brand and its subsidiaries in the global marketplace.

                PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

                • Creating artwork to be placed onto products and/or creating creative design solutions for various forms of collateral including catalogs, ads, packaging, signage, digital, and more.
                • Capability of producing artwork by either adapting customer supplied artwork or creating original designs, by hand drawing or computer rendering, to be placed on a variety of products based on established specifications.

                STAFF ACCOUNTANT

                Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried opportunity as a Staff Accountant.

                This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing business processes and transactions to assure all financial matters: statements, reports, and transactions are properly stated and submitted in a timely manner to business management.

                DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES CAN INCLUDE:

                • Corporate Consolidations – load and tie-out monthly subsidiary consolidation models including intercompany eliminations and multiple currency translations.
                • Financial reporting – monthly financial statement creation, independently create consolidated and individual subsidiary financial statements and supporting reports. Share in monthly financial statement review and analysis. Directly responsible for Mfg/SG&A analysis and reporting. Assist with subsidiary financial narratives. Maintain assigned general ledger account reconciliations.
                • Assist with external Audit coordination – maintain cash receipt/disbursement and inventory. Assist with coordinating and maintaining audit schedules.
                • Activity Based Cost/Management – member of ABC/M team, focusing on SG&A Costs. Responsible for maintaining associated ABC models and ensuring timely completion of related ABC/M profitability reports and analysis.
                • Assist in performing daily banking activities.
                • Capital Asset expenditure ROI analysis, tracking and calculation of depreciation/amortization.
                • Gainshare monthly and weekly calculations.

                Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking a qualified Programmer Analyst for a full-time, salaried opportunity in their Information Technology department.

                JOB DESCRIPTION

                The Programmer Analyst will provide 2nd tier support of software systems, analyze business requirements, and provide new solutions or enhancements to existing applications.  The candidate will be a member of the Applications Group providing project and end-user support.  The Programmer Analyst will report to the Information Systems Manager and will be responsible for the following:

                • Participating as an active team member in all assigned projects and support tickets.
                • Consulting with project managers, stakeholders, and vendors to define program intent, identify problems, and implement change requests.
                • Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely manner.
                • Providing analysis and enhancements to existing applications.
                • Independently design program specifications, write code, and test software.

                JOB REQUIREMENTS

                  • Programming:
                    • 7-10 years in the manufacturing sector.
