Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried opportunity as a Staff Accountant.

This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing business processes and transactions to assure all financial matters: statements, reports, and transactions are properly stated and submitted in a timely manner to business management.


  • Corporate Consolidations – load and tie-out monthly subsidiary consolidation models including intercompany eliminations and multiple currency translations.
  • Financial reporting – monthly financial statement creation, independently create consolidated and individual subsidiary financial statements and supporting reports. Share in monthly financial statement review and analysis. Directly responsible for Mfg/SG&A analysis and reporting. Assist with subsidiary financial narratives. Maintain assigned general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Bond Accounting – prepare monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist with external Audit coordination – maintain cash receipt/disbursement and inventory. Assist with coordinating and maintaining audit schedules.
  • Activity Based Cost/Management – member of ABC/M team, focusing on SG&A Costs. Responsible for maintaining associated ABC models and ensuring timely completion of related ABC/M profitability reports and analysis.
  • Operations Oversight – Accounts Payable function – liaison between A/P and Purchasing. Sales/Use tax review/audit coordination. Monthly A/P ledger close oversight.  Review/approve all A/P related reconciliations.
  • Assist in performing daily banking activities.
  • Capital Asset expenditure ROI analysis, tracking and calculation of depreciation/amortization.
  • Gainshare monthly and weekly calculations.
  • Perform any other duties, related in nature, which may be assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA or Masters in Accounting preferred
  • CPA/CMA not required, but preferred
  • Strong Financial Accounting rule skills
  • Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite



Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking a qualified Programmer Analyst for a full-time, salaried opportunity in their Information Technology department.


The Programmer Analyst will provide 2nd tier support of software systems, analyze business requirements, and provide new solutions or enhancements to existing applications.  The candidate will be a member of the Applications Group providing project and end-user support.  The Programmer Analyst will report to the Information Systems Manager and will be responsible for the following:

  • Participating as an active team member in all assigned projects and support tickets.
  • Consulting with project managers, stakeholders, and vendors to define program intent, identify problems, and implement change requests.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely manner.
  • Providing analysis and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Independently design program specifications, write code, and test software.
  • Implement and maintain complex queries, stored procedures, and databases.
  • All other assigned duties.


  • Necessary

    • Programming:
      • 7-10 years in the manufacturing sector.
      • 7-10 years with the Microsoft .NET Framework.
      • 7-10 years writing performant queries in Microsoft SQL Server.
      • Experience in all phases of the SDLC.
      • Experience using VCS in a distributed environment.
    • Business analysis:
      • Must be able to conduct requirements gathering and perform functional analysis.
    • Project Management:
      • Must be able to create project estimates and prioritize tasks.
      • Must be able to take a lead programming role.
    • Self-starter.
      • Must be able to work independently, anticipate learning needs, and react accordingly.


    • Programming:
      • 5-10 years with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
      • Experience implementing design and architecture patterns.
      • Experience using SCM tools and techniques.
      • Experience using TFS in a distributed environment.


Zippo is seeking engineering professionals.

Candidates must have at least five to ten years of experience in providing engineering services and support to manufacturing operations; demonstrated experience with directing supporting resources; able to develop, source, implement, and maintain manufacturing technologies for automated assembly equipment, fabrication tooling, and machines for forming, bonding, machining, finishing, and decoration processes; and experience at a high level of expertise with the use of CAD technologies.

Previous work experiences with integrated automated inspection technologies, various assembly processes and lean/continuous improvement methods are considered a plus.

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering is required.
