        SALES ASSISTANT

        Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for multiple part-time/temporary openings (25 to 40 hours weekly at $12 hourly) as a Sales Assistant at the Zippo/Case Museum & Flagship Store. This position will require time flexibility as work will primarily take place on weekends with opportunity for additional hours during the week.

        The Sales Assistant will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Museum & Flagship Store Manager and other Museum & Flagship Store staff with various tasks to support the overall operation of the store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability.

        What you’ll do:

        • Assist in coordinating visual presentation of store, sales floor, and displays to ensure a consistent and quality store experience for customers while maximizing revenue and customer satisfaction.
        • Assist with inventory control.

        PAYROLL SUPERVISOR

        Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, salaried, and hybrid remote employment opportunity as a Payroll Supervisor-responsible for overseeing the shared service payroll staff and assure timely and accurate processing of all Company payrolls, related deductions, 401(k) pay administration, tax compliance, all federal and state labor reporting and set-up of out-of-state employees.

        Primary Duties:

        • Supervise and provide back-up support for payroll staff
        • Approve payroll-related check and wire requests
        • Approve weekly/bi-weekly scheduled and unscheduled pay runs

        What You’ll Do: (Source candidates, both passive and active, to build and maintain a pipeline for current and future workforce needs. Review resumes, refer resumes to hiring managers, schedule interviews with hiring managers, and negotiate and extend offers.)

        • Actively participate in the talent acquisition/recruitment programs including participation in future hiring discussions as part of the budget planning process
        • Act as the subject matter expert for recruiting platforms utilized by the company, including UKG Recruiting/Onboarding modules, LinkedIn Recruiter license, etc.

        *Must be currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum of one year engineering credits within the desired discipline.

        What you’ll do:

        You will learn general engineering practices and acquire specific discipline skills necessary to function effectively in an engineering organization. You will work with and support one or more experienced engineers in performing assignments to support larger projects while experiencing the day-to-day workings of engineering.

        DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT INTERN - SUMMER 2022

        Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking a majority-remote Digital Asset Management Intern for summer 2022. 

        *Must be current student or recent graduate of a college-level program in Library Science, Museum Studies, or related field.

        What You’ll Do:

        You will assist in digitizing, cataloging, and organizing Zippo’s active product assets and historical materials leading up to the company’s ninetieth anniversary. Also, you will gain practical experience with principles of archival descriptive practice and data management, while assisting the DAM Librarian and Administrator in conducting quality assessments of digitized assets and metadata, all while supporting asset ingest and metadata creation.

        Additionally, You’ll:

        • Assess, organize, and create descriptive metadata for digitized assets towards the goal of archiving for preservation and long-term access
        • Upload assets into the DAM
        • Assign metadata, allowing users to quickly search and discover marketing assets
        • Audit assets for accurate naming and metadata
        • Perform related duties or special assignments as directed

        What you’ll Need:

        • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
        • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
        • Experience with photo editing software (preferably Adobe Photoshop)

          Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time hourly Engineering Specialist employment opportunity-responsible for assisting engineers and manufacturing personnel in developing and improving processes and products through investigation and testing.

          Primary Duties:

          • Provide support to the manufacturing operation by working with manufacturing personnel in solving problems as they arise.
          • Develop and conduct a variety of experiments under the supervision of the Engineering staff. Collect and analyze data from tests and experiments making recommendations on corrective action or improvements.
          • Set-up and test new equipment and process as deemed appropriate. Monitor and record problems with process and mechanical equipment at the direction of the Engineering staff.
          • Comprehension and use of measurement equipment needed for Quality and Process Control as well as Analysis.
          • Use computer and necessary software to write reports. Develop spreadsheets, charts table, graphs to support reports written.
          • Read and interpret engineering drawings and other engineering related documentation including charts and formulas.
          • Problem Solving of Integrated Systems; Electromechanical Devices, Components, Systems, Software, Firmware and Computers. Mechanical aptitude and ability required for Diagnosis and Repair of Machinery.
          • Develop and maintain detailed departmental records with inventory tracking. Write and keep detailed records of process control documentation including test parameters, observations of tests, memos, reports and operating procedures, including other engineering related documentation.
          • Knowledge of product and functional quality. This requires knowledge of quality improvements as they pertain to the functions being performed.

                        Zippo Manufacturing Company, a leader in the lighter manufacturing industry, is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time hourly opportunity as a Tool & Die Maker. 

                        The successful candidate will perform activities to build new, repair, adjust, maintain, and make replacement parts for a variety of existing tools, dies, jigs, spare parts, fixtures, etc. Additionally, the candidate must possess safe work methods and ensure compliance with all company requirements (i.e. regulatory, safety, etc.) in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

                        Responsibilities include reading and interpreting complex drawings, blueprints, sketches, and dimensional information. Must be able to use a variety of precision measurement equipment to evaluate in-process and completed work against print requirements. Set up, test, operate, and make minor changes to CNC equipment and programs.
