Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried opportunity as a Director of Domestic Sales responsible for:

  • Establishing distribution methods and outlets nationwide.
  • Supervising the external and internal Domestic sales force.
  • Developing sales forecasts.
  • Leading and developing the National and Regional Sales Managers to expanded reach.
  • Increasing business among existing accounts.
  • Promoting the Zippo & RONSON product lines to new customers.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Direct the activities of the National Account Managers (NAM’s), Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s), Area Sales Managers (ASM’s), District Representatives (DSR’s), and Field Sales Coordinators.
  • Travel with, motivate, and mentor NAM’s and RSM’s at meetings with customers as they review business performance, planogram placement, and promotional strategies.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing sales and promotional calendars and product launch cycles.
  • Develop budgets and forecast for the internal and external Domestic sales force.
  • Direct the expenditures of the sales force as it relates to their Coop Funds (Channel Marketing Funds, TMF & Wholesale Coop Funds).
  • Facilitate resolution of operational issues to ensure compliance and minimize chargebacks.
  • Attend appropriate trade shows and research new opportunities to display Zippo and RONSON products.
  • Serve on strategic planning teams as necessary.
  • Forecast, track profitability, and provide progress reports.
  • As required, will recruit, hire, and train internal staff, as well as ASM’s and DSR’s.
  • Evaluate performances and recommend promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, and termination.
  • Prepare sales reports as needed, including reports to the field as well as internally.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to create effective Point of Sale displays, packaging and other marketing programs.
  • Evaluate competitive brands with focus on marketing and sales strategies.
  • Coordinate national sales meeting.
  • Overnight travel required (25%-30%)

The Successful Candidate Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of sales and sales management experience

        Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time office hourly opportunity as a Payroll Associate.

        The Payroll Associate will be responsible for performing all statistical and clerical tasks involved in preparing and processing hourly and salaried payroll together with required reports.

        Primary Duties Include:

        • Receiving time clock information and exception reports daily and reviewing each for accuracy and legibility; preparing input for Data transfers and comparing input to output.
        • Processing reductions from gross pay by all authorized and required deductions; receiving and distributing checks.
        • Answering and/or correcting paycheck inquiries.
        • Preparing checks for special payments, as directed.
        • Preparing pay data for release when approved.
        • Maintaining and updating employee information records and files, as required.
        • Preparing various cost P&L reports as required.
        • Using a variety of equipment incidental to proper and accurate procedure application.

              • Define, build, and implement automation and self-service solutions to reduce effort and improve efficiencies.
              • Cultivate internal customer relationships key to influencing services delivered.
              • Assist in and promote change management within IT and functional users.
              • Create Functional Design documents to be used to develop needed solutions.

              Required qualifications:

              • 10+ years of experience as a Developer and IT Manager or Project Manager.

                    ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

                    Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time salaried opportunity as a Electrical Engineer.

                    The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving processes and products, as well as designing, developing, and maintaining electrical and control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on cost, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.

                    PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

                    • Developing and managing small to medium size projects from concept to completion and maintaining control of project expenditures to avoid cost and schedule overruns at the direction of the department supervisor, as well as preparing budgets and timelines and assembling meetings on assigned projects.
                    • Making recommendations on capital budget projects and research projects.
                    • Formulating corrective action reports based on testing and research projects.
                    • Formulating corrective action reports based on testing and research, recommending design and / or process changes and implementing design or process changes as approved.
                    • Designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, and systems.
                    • Operating computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Developing spreadsheets, chart tables, and graphs to support reports written.
                    • Directing and coordinating manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and Zippo requirements.
                    • Performing detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, instillation standards and specifications.
