Zippo 200 Logo Modified for Fifth Anniversary
It has been five short years since Zippo began racing down the back stretch and winding through the inner loop during the Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Watkins Glen International.
2009 will mark the fifth anniversary of the Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen. Zippo has revamped the
Zippo 200 logo, for this year only, to commemorate the Five Year milestone. Zippo has committed to continue the Nationwide series race sponsorship through 2010.
Some of NASCAR racing’s top names have reached Gatorade Victory Lane following the Zippo 200; Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Marcos Ambrose. The Zippo 200 has also had a notable list of Grand Marshals, including Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry, Zippo President and CEO Greg Booth, and Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett.

Last year, in addition to title sponsorship of the Nationwide series race, Zippo also sponsored
the D’Hondt Motorsports #92 Zippo BLU™ car driven by Kyle Busch. The race car was decked out in Zippo BLU™ and came in a close second to Marcos Ambrose in one of the most exciting races in Zippo 200 history.
The green flag will drop on this year’s Zippo 200 on Saturday, August 8, followed by the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at The Glen Sunday, August 9. Stay tuned for updates and the latest news!
